On Dating Sites, Being a Man of High Standards is Powerful… Learn Why:
Attracting hotter women online is a lot like the 100-meter dash at the Olympics.
If you pair an Olympic sprinter with an out-of-shape high school athlete, the difference in performance is drastic.
But these days, the differences in performance between competitive Olympic sprinters are so minute, they have to get sensors attached to their bodies during the race to determine who won.
It’ll take some pretty huge changes in your strategy to go from being unsuccessful to successful.
But once you master the process of meeting women online in general, it only takes a few tiny tweaks to start nabbing much hotter girls.
First and most importantly, you’ve got to raise your standards.
Let me break it down:
If you selected your very best pics, crafted a killer profile, and come across as a quality guy in your emails, you’re already way ahead of the game.
But ultra hot women put up defenses against EVERY guy. That’s because they’ve been handed everything to them on a silver platter ever since their chests filled out.
You need to break through this defense, because she pretty much ASSUMES you will kiss up to her just like every single guy has her entire life.
And you do this by demonstrating that you are a cool guy who has really high standards for the types of women you will date.
Even if she knows you’re really interested in her, she’ll appreciate the challenge. To her, it’s a breath of fresh air.
Plus, your high standards work to reinforce the image that you are a quality man. Highly desirable men with lots of dating options naturally have high standards, right?
One good way to do this is to casually mention in your profile that looks are NOT enough.
I’ve written something like this in my own profile in the past:
“Just because you’ve got a look that drives most men wild does not mean that I’ll be attracted. To me, it has to do with a lot more than looks. The model types who aren’t much more three-dimensional than their photos get old fast… so if that’s you, let’s save our time…”
See how that works?
Subtly screening girls in your profile and messages for non-physical qualities that you find attractive is another way to let them know you’ve got discerning taste.
Don’t make her think you’re just looking for a hot chick. You want a girl with:
- Personality
- Adventurousness
- Intelligence
- Health / physical fitness
- Cooking skills
One thing to keep in mind is that it’s usually not the best idea for you to militantly demand that a woman be something that you clearly are not. If your beer gut sticks out past arm’s length, then it’ll be a stretch to say you’re only interested in women that exercise daily.
That said, there are exceptions to this rule if you go about it the right way. For example, even if your specialty dish is grilled cheese with a side of Doritos , you could still say something like “…so if you’re fun, a magnificent chef (recommended but not required), and never get tired of laughing, then drop me a line and let’s talk more.”
It’s clear that you’re not completely serious about her needing to be a magnificent chef… but you’re subtly challenging her at the same time.
Starting to get the picture?
I generally like to keep things light, positive, and fun. Injecting a bit of humor into statements that paint you as a selective man with options is never a bad way to do that.
Obviously, it’s crucial that you establish in your profile that you’re a pretty amazing guy. Otherwise, the talk about your high standards will not be convincing.
